"The Song of Solomon"

By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loves!

I sought him, but I found him not.
I will rise now,
and go about the city in the streets,
and in the broad ways I will seek him
whom my soul loves:
I sought him, but I found him not.
The watchmen that go about the city found me:
to whom I said, Saw ye him
whom my soul loves?
It was but a little that I passed from them,
but I found him whom my soul loves:
I held him, and would not let him go,
until I had brought him into my mother’s house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.

I charge you, O you daughters of Jerusalem,
by the roes, and by the hinds of the field,
that ye stir not up, nor awake my love,
till he please.

Who is this that comes out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?

Behold his bed, which is Solomon’s;
threescore valiant men are about it,
of the valiant of Israel.
They all hold swords, being expert in war:
every man hath his sword upon his thigh
because of fear in the night.

King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon. He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem.

Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.

"ECCLESIASTES, Bible book"

Solomon, King over Israel,

Son of King David,

wrote or dictated the Book of Ecclesiastes

in his old age,

near the time of his death in the year 931 BC.

*****

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them; while the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain: in the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men will bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened, and the doors will be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low;  also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire will fail: because man goes to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets: or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

Then will the dust return to the earth as it was: and the Spirit will return to
YHVH (YEHOVAH) Almighty
who gave it.

Vanity of vanities, said the preacher; all is vanity.

And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs. The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.

The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd. And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

"Fear YHVH (YEHOVAH) Almighty, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For YHVH (YEHOVAH) Almighty will bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Psalms' Book

A Psalm of David the servant of

the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH).

David spoke to the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) the words of this song on the day that the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul.

David said:

" I love You,
O Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH),
my strength.
 The Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) is my pillar, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my Almighty, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation,
my high tower".

Psalms' Book

David's Psalms

Book 1 (Psalms 1–41)

Book 2 (Psalms 42–72)

Blessed be the KING
YHVH (YEHOVAH)
the Almighty of Israel,
who alone doeth wondrous things.
And blessed be His glorious Name for ever, and let the whole earth be filled with His Glory
Amen and Amen.

The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended!

Book 3 (Psalms 73–89)

Book 4 (Psalms 90–106)

Psalm 90 and 91: Prayer of Moses,
the man of YHVH (YEHOVAH)!

YHVH (YEHOVAH)
You has been our dwelling place in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever You had formed the earth
and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting,
You are Almighty!

Psalm 101-103 of David,

Bless the KING YHVH (YEHOVAH)
O my soul; and all that is within me,
bless His Holy Name!
Bless the KING YHVH (YEHOVAH)
O my soul, and forget not all His benefits
who forgives all your iniquities,

who heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from destruction,

that crowns you with mercy

and tender mercies,

that satisfies your mouth with good things,

so that your youth man can renew himself
like the eagle.

The Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) executes justice
and judgment for all the oppressed.

He made known his ways to Moses,

His acts to the children of Israel.

The Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) is
merciful and merciful,
slow to anger and great in mercy.

He will not always rebuke,
nor will he keep his anger forever.

Book 5 (Psalms 107–150)

Psalms of David:
 108-109-110-122-124-131-133-138-139-140-141-142-143-144-145.

I will extol You,
my Almighty, O King;
and I will bless your name
for ever and ever.

Every day will I bless You,
and I will praise Your Name
for ever and ever.

Great is the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH)
and greatly to be praised
and His greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall praise Your works to another,
and will declare Your mighty acts.
I will speak of the Glorious Honor of Your majesty
and of Your wondrous works.
And men shall speak of the might of Your fearsome acts,
and I will declare Your greatness.
They shall abundantly utter the memory of Your great goodness,
and shall sing of Your righteousness.
The Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) is gracious and full of compassion
slow to anger and of Great Mercy.
The Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) is good to all
and His tender mercies are over all His works.

Job's book

Then Job answered the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH)  and said,:

“I know that You can do everything,
and that no thought can be withheld from You".

‘Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? Therefore have
I uttered what I understood not,
things too wonderful for me,
which I knew not.

Hear, I beseech You, and I will speak;
I will question You, and declare You unto Me.

I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear,
but now mine eye see You
Therefore
"I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes

So the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH)
Blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand sheasses.
He had also seven sons and three daughters.
And he called the name of the first Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Kerenhappuch.
And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job, and their father gave them an inheritance among their brethren.
After this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his sons and his sons’ sons, even four generations.
So Job died, being old and full of days.

"Nehemiah Bible book"

The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah.
And it came to pass in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in the palace at Shushan, that Hanani one of my brethren came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped, who were left behind from the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.
And they said unto me,
“The remnant who are left behind from the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire”
And it came to pass when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days and fasted, and prayed before the KING YHVH (YEHOVAH) Almighty of heaven, and said:
“I beseech thee, O KING YHVH (YEHOVAH) Almighty of heaven, the Great and fearsome Almighty God, who keeps covenant and mercy for those who love Him and observe His commandments, let Your ear now be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant, which I pray before YOU now day and night for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both I and my father’s house have sinned.
We have dealt very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments which You commanded Your servant Moses.
Remember, I beseech You, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying,
"If you transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations; but if you turn unto Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though there were some of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set My Name there"
Now these are Your servants
and Your people,
whom You has redeemed
by Your Great Power and
by Your strong hand.

O YHVH (YEHOVAH), I beseech You, let now Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your Name; and prosper, I pray YOU, Your servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man”. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

"Ezra's Bible book"

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the Word of the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and put it also in writing, saying,
“Thus said Cyrus king of Persia: ‘The  Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and He has charged me to build Him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
Who is there among you of all His people? His  Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the  Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) of Israel (He is the Almighty), which is in Jerusalem.
And whosoever remainder in any place where he sojourner, let the men of his place help him with silver and with gold, and with goods and with beasts, besides the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.”
Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, with all those whose spirit  Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) had raised, to go up to build the house of the  Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) which is in Jerusalem.
And all those who were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.
Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH), which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem and had put them in the house of his gods; even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and counted them over to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.

And when the seventh month had come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.
Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and his brethren, and built the altar of the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) of Israel to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH).

Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity were building the temple unto the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) of Israel, then they came to Zerubbabel and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, “Let us build with you, for we seek your Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) as you do; and we have done sacrifice unto Him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us up hither”.
But Zerubbabel and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel said unto them,
“You have nothing to do with us in building a house unto our Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH); but we ourselves together will build unto the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) of Israel, as King Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us”.

Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building, and hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.
And in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, they wrote unto him an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.
And in the days of Artaxerxes, Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel and the rest of their companions wrote unto Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the writing of the letter was written in the Syrian tongue, and interpreted in the Syrian tongue.
Then sent the king an answer unto Rehum the chancellor, and to Shimshai the scribe, and to the rest of their companions who dwell in Samaria, and unto the rest beyond the river:
“Peace, and at such a time. The letter which ye sent unto us hath been plainly read before me. And I commanded, and search has been made, and it is found that this city in old times hath made insurrection against kings, and that rebellion and sedition have been made therein. There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, who have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom were paid unto them. Give you now command to cause these men to cease, and that this city be not built until another command shall be given from me.

Then the prophets, Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto the Jews who were in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, even unto them.
Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) which is at Jerusalem; and with them were the prophets of Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) helping them.
At the same time came to them Tattenai, governor on this side of the river, and Shetharboznai and their companions, and said thus unto them:
“Who hath commanded you to build this house, and to make up this wall?

But the eye of their Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) was upon the elders of the Jews, that they could not cause them to cease until the matter came to Darius, and then they returned answer by letter concerning this matter.
Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon. And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a scroll, and therein was a record thus written:
“In the first year of Cyrus the king, the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) at Jerusalem:
Let the house be built, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid  the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits, with three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber and let the expenses be given out of the king’s house.
And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH), which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem and brought unto Babylon, be restored and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH).

Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
And the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) who hath caused His name to dwell there, destroy all kings and people who shall put forth their hand to alter and to destroy this house of Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) which is at Jerusalem.
I Darius have made a decree.
Let it be done with speed”.

And the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Idd. And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the Almighty YHVH (YEHOVAH) of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus and Darius and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
And this house was finished on the third day of the month of Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.
